Privacy Policy

The short version
- You give us a photo of your child, a voice recording or a typed message, and checkout details. That is the whole list.
- To make your card we have to send the photo to Google and the recording to ElevenLabs. They process it and hand it back. We name every company below.
- We do not sell your data, we do not advertise to your child, and we never use your child's photo in our own marketing.
- We keep your photo and recording no longer than 30 days after your card ships, then they are deleted.
- Email hunter5380@gmail.com and we will delete everything of yours, no questions asked.

Who we are
Talking Tooth Fairy is a product of Talking Cards. We make a personalized keepsake card that plays a voice message. This policy covers https://talkingtoothfairy.com and the card you order from it.
What you give us
- A photo of your child. You upload it in the card builder.
- A voice recording, or text you type.Your recording becomes the character's voice. If you type instead, the text is read aloud in that voice.
- Checkout details — your name, email, billing and shipping address, and payment information. This part happens on Shopify, not on our servers (see below).
- Basic usage data — pages visited, rough location by IP, device and browser, via Google Analytics.
We do not ask for your child's last name, birthday, address, or school, and you should not send them to us.
Who else sees it, and why
We cannot make the card without these companies. Each one gets only the piece it needs to do its job.

That is the complete list. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Where your photo and recording actually live
They are stored on our own server, in a file with a long random name — for example /uploads/c19862cd0b94e7200efb2409.png. We want to be straight with you about one detail most policies skip: that link is not password-protected. Anyone who has the exact link can open the file. The name is random and long enough that it cannot realistically be guessed, and it is never listed or indexed anywhere — but it is a link, and links can be forwarded. It is also stored on your Shopify order so we can fulfil it.
We made that tradeoff so your card's audio plays instantly for anyone you hand it to, without an account or a login. If you would rather your files not be reachable that way, email us and we will delete them as soon as your card is printed.
How long we keep it
Your photo and recording are kept no longer than 30 days after your card ships, and are then deleted from our servers. We keep them that long so we can reprint or re-send your card if something goes wrong in the post.
Your order record and email address stay with Shopify for as long as we are required to keep business and tax records. Your sign-in session expires after 30 days.
Children's privacy
This site is built for parents and adults, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. Everything about a child that reaches us — the photo, the first name you choose to include — is given to us by you, the parent or guardian, and only you can order.
We never use your child's photo or voice to market anything, we never show it to another customer, and we do not use it to train AI models of our own. If you believe a child has sent us information directly, email us and we will delete it.
What you can ask us to do
Whatever law applies where you live, we will honour these for anyone who asks:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Send you a copy of it
- Correct it if it is wrong
- Delete it — including your child's photo and recording
- Stop emailing you
Email hunter5380@gmail.com and we will act on it within 30 days, usually much sooner. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not make the process difficult.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in to your account, and Google Analytics sets cookies to measure traffic. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own. Blocking analytics cookies in your browser will not break anything on this site.
Security, honestly stated
Traffic to this site is encrypted (HTTPS), secrets are kept out of the code, and access to the server is restricted. We also think you deserve the caveat: no small company can promise perfect security, and the upload-link detail above is a real characteristic of how this works, not a hypothetical. If something ever goes wrong in a way that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we do with your child's photo or recording, we will email customers rather than quietly editing the page.
